Rodent Control

Rats and mice are some of the most unwanted pests to invade our homes causing major damage to wall sheeting, timber frames and electrical wiring. Books, paper, clothing and food items are also at risk of damage.

Rats have incisor teeth which are continually growing so they require almost constant gnawing to keep them at an acceptable length.

The spread of disease is also high on the list of concern, particularly with young children.

What can be done to overcome this problem?

What procedures are to be put in place?

A brief inspection to your property is required, paying particular attention to roof voids as these areas may be a home for Possums.

If Possums are found they will need to be trapped and relocated a safe distance away.

Baiting for Rodents can now commence, specially designed cardboard boxes with bait blocks inside are placed in roof voids and other areas frequented by Rodents.

If you have young children or pets, lockable bait boxes can be supplied, inside these boxes the baits are placed on small steel rods and are secured in place. The box is then locked.

The rodents can enter the bait box but cannot remove the baits, so they must consume the bait within the box, lessening the chance of spreading the baits around your property.
